What does your business do for you?

Most owners can tell me what they do for their business. Far fewer can tell me what it does for them, what it's worth, or where it fits in their life five years from now. That's the conversation I want to have.

What I actually do

I work with owners and boards to build, buy, grow, and sell their businesses.

When you start, buy, grow, and sell businesses, you have to have access to service providers you trust, or own them. Over the years I've acquired marketing people, software developers, AI strategists, offshore staffing, and financiers who help me grow the businesses I work on.

I bring that team to the owners I work with and help them grow or sell what they've built. We take on a limited number of companies each year that are ready to invest in growth.

Companies I work alongside

What my team and I have built includes Brand OS, the CRO Jungle and Dev Jungle platforms, and the Metis ESG platform. Each line above describes my team's role, not the size of the company.

Questions I get asked

Can I afford you?

I don't have a price. Don't assume that because of where you are today you can't get to where you want to go because of a number in a bank account. Every engagement has a number, but that number comes after we understand the business, never before. If you have high potential, a serious work ethic, and real goals, we can find a way to make things work together.

Do you invest?

Sometimes, and it's decided company by company. Most of the time I invest my team, my time, and my access. What that looks like on paper is part of the conversation.

What happens after I fill out the form?

David on my team calls you within one business day. He'll ask a few more questions about the business and, if it makes sense, get us in a room together. You can also book a time directly on the next screen.

Do you only work with Utica businesses?

No, but Utica and the Mohawk Valley come first. I moved home to work with the people here.

How I think about business

Long-form page coming. Working draft: the four things almost every messy business has in common, and why marketing is the last thing I fix, not the first.

Two questions. David calls within one business day.

Nothing here goes into a newsletter or a list. It goes to David and me.
